About Psi Studios

Psi Studios is a contemporary narrative production house specialised in creating and developing intellectual properties (IPs) built on compelling High Concept dramatic ideas, and in producing films and short-form series (Microdrama) through advanced use of artificial intelligence and a contemporary cinematic language.

Our work begins from a commercial, mass-appeal and suspenseful entry point that travels easily to global markets, then leads the viewer smoothly into deeper psychological and philosophical layers that test reality and unpack its complex questions.

Our production philosophy

The film industry in Egypt and the region faces two simultaneous pressures. Inflation and currency volatility have multiplied the cost of traditional production and pushed the market into recession, while a rapid shift in technology and viewing habits, led by Generations Z and Alpha, has made the mobile phone the first screen and fast pacing the language of the age.

This is where Psi Studios begins. We use technology and artificial intelligence to cut production costs radically without compromising quality, and we steer our work towards fresh ideas and a pace suited to younger audiences and contemporary life, while preserving the message and human values through deeper narrative layers that reveal themselves to those who look for them. For us, the value of a work begins with its idea and the human vision behind it, and the tools of production serve the story rather than decide its fate.

What the name means

We take our name from the Greek letter Ψ (Psi, pronounced “sigh”), the universal emblem of psychology, linked to the word Psychē, the self and the inner life. Behind every event there is a human being, behind every act there are motives, and behind every character a context that shapes their choices and contradictions. That is why our stories begin with the human being, across genres from comedy and crime to suspense, drama and science fiction, without giving up the pleasure of watching or the pull of narrative.

Psi is not a single kind of production but a method of building a story, one that embraces films, series and short-form work. The name also gives us our line, Stories Beneath the Screen: beneath every image there is a mind that drives it, and artificial intelligence is a means of telling the story, while its source remains the human psyche.

The logo follows the beam as the path of a story: it enters from the left, passes through the human psyche, and emerges as work.

The beam of light

It enters from the left, bends in the glass, crosses the central stem and leaves lower; a story never leaves the psyche as it entered.

The human silhouette

A neutral, featureless head inside the central stem, facing the direction of the story so every viewer can see themselves in it; the human, not the technology, is the centre.

The colours

Deep navy is the dark of the screening room, cream carries the name, and amber is the light and warmth of the human presence.
